CuteFTP for Windows XP Windows
Step One:
Locate and open CuteFTP. This is located inside your Start Menu. It may also be located on your desktop, or in the QuickLaunch section of your taskbar.
Step Two:
Click the 'Connect' button in the toolbar to show the connection pane.
Step Three:
Enter your FTP details in the connection pane of the window (under the toolbar). Replace yourdomain.com.au with your own domain name. Username and password are your admin username and password. Click the connect buton (the icon to the right of the Port number).
Step Four:
Browse to where your website is stored locally (on your own computer) in the left-hand pane. Browse to the 'public_html' folder in the right-hand pane. Drag and drop files onto the right-hand pane to upload. Ensure that the first page you wish for your visitors to see on your website is named 'index.html', 'index.htm' or 'index.php'.
