Step One:

Locate and open Mail. This is located inside your Applications folder. It may also be located inside your dock at the bottom of the screen.

Step Two:

Click on the 'Mail' menu, and select 'Preferences'.

Step Three:

Click the 'Accounts' icon in the toolbar of the preferences window.

Step Four:

Click the '+' button in the bottom-left corner of the window.

Step Five:

Set the account type to 'POP'. The 'Account Description' is for your reference only to identify this email account - you can enter anything here. Full Name is what people see in the 'From' field when receiving an email from this address - you can enter anything here. Email address is the email address you wish to add. (Note: you must have first created this email account in Cpanel). Click Continue.

Step Six:

Your incoming mail server is mail.yourdomain.com.au (replace with your own domain name). Username is your full email address. Password is the one you setup in Cpanel for this account. Click Continue.

Step Seven:

Ensure that the 'Use Secure Sockets Layer' checkbox is unchecked, and the Authentication is set to Password. Click Continue.

Step Eight:

Your outgoing mail server can be obtained from your ISP (internet service provider). Most ISPs block outgoing mail servers other than their own. If your ISP does not block external outgoing mail servers, you can use mail.yourdomain.com.au here. (replacing yourdomain.com.au with your own domain name). Click Continue.

Step Nine:

Confirm that the details you have entered are correct. Click Continue.

Step Ten:

Finished! You can now click Done to send and receive mail using this account.
